Subsidies

IAPT invites members and non-members to apply for a subsidy when you are in the financial situation that you cannot attend the conference without additional support. We allocate IAPT funds for this goal and fortunately the conference team was able to raise additional funds for subsidies. We are very glad that we have the means to support a group of scholars who are otherwise unable to join us in Tübingen 2027. Note that this is a subsidy and not a grant. We invite you to apply for a subsidy when you lack the resources to attend. It is important for you to know that our subsidy will only cover the conference fees and costs of accomodation.

We also want to be clear about our process of decisionmaking when we find ourselves in the difficult situation that there are more applicants than our funds can cover. In that case we will use the following criteria for decision making:

1. The applicant states that the applicant lacks the financial resources to attend the conference;
2. The applicant is a member or associate member of IAPT;
3. The applicant has submitted a paper proposal that has been accepted;
4. The applicant states that the applicant has funding for travelling;
5. Early careers or persons who have not received a subsidy before will be prioritized;
6. Persons from lower and lower-middle income countries will be prioritized;
7. If additional decisions have to be made, we will take into account the diversity of the group of persons that receive a subsidy to reflect the values of IAPT to have a global representation of scholars.
